BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 9. Mobile operators of Azerbaijan and Russia are successfully cooperating in the sphere of voice traffic exchange, provision of mutual services for the lease of transit communication channels and data transmission, the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media said this week, Trend reports.

According to the ministry, the sides also exchange experience in the sphere of digital development, the latest technologies, the security of information systems, and the training of highly qualified specialists.

Besides, Azerbaijan’s AzInTelecom LLC noted this week that the country uses the experience of the advanced countries such as the US, UK, Türkiye, Norway, Ireland and Estonia in creating the "Government Cloud" (G-Cloud) concept.

According to the company, it’s planned to prepare a long-term strategy for the development of the G-Cloud concept meeting modern standards was discussed, as well as the transition of information systems of government agencies to this "cloud".

Azerbaijan’s Unicapital investment company said this week that it’s planned to launch ‘Investments’ section on the basis of mobile application of Leobank (Azerbaijani digital bank) in the near future.

Meanwhile, the Azerbaijani State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population shared its plans to create a subsystem of labor activity and employment within the framework of social reforms for 2018-2022.

The agency added that a map and register of employment, a system for monitoring unofficially employed persons, an electronic risk audit system and a central career portal are expected to be created in Azerbaijan.

This week, Azerbaijan’s state internet providers Aztelekom and Baktelecom under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport announced introduction of new tariffs for their subscribers since early August this year.

According to the providers, users of 4 Mbps and 10 Mbps will get faster internet connection, with a data transfer rate of 15 Mbps and 30 Mbps respectively, and it’s expected that after the introduction of the new tariffs the cost of tariff packages will change.
