Next sitting on the case of the Maltese Fim Bank, filed a lawsuit in Rotterdam against Azerbaijani government on non-payment of credit allegedly granted under the guarantee of the Azerbaijani Communications and Information Technologies Ministry and Pochtbank, was postponed till 4 January 2006 due to unavailability of the documents to be submitted to the court by Fim Bank, the Ministry told Trend.

The sitting was due to be held on 16 November and Azerbaijan presented appropriate materials to the court till the term.

“Azerbaijan will also submit some new documents on this case to the court till the next sitting,” the Ministry underlined.

Besides, Ministry considers that the trial may delay anew, as Azerbaijan has also filed a lawsuit on compensation of morale and financial damages. The court may require additional witnesses at making of final decision.

The credit granted by Fim Bank on base of falsified documents for nonexistent enterprise Aztell amounts $3,035,000, for nonexistent Baktell - $1,560,000.
