Azerpocht State Venture (SV) works on application of money transfer on the Western Union system. The system has been applied in some regions, particularly, Dashkasan, Ganja, Goranboy, Khanlar, Mingachevir, Naftalan, Shamkir, Tartar and Yevlak, Trend reports.
The substation is currently working on renovation of software to install new equipment for application of the system, Azerpocht underlined. After aforesaid regions the venture plans to apply the system in Gazakh, Tovuz, Aghstafa and Barda.
All work is planned to be carried out till late second half-year of 2006. Azerpocht intends to render similar services in 50 regions of the country.
At present 20 branches, including, 10 post-offices of the central post-office in the capital and post-offices 1, 6, 73, 2, 118, 63, 83, 44 and 45, render services on this system.
Under the undersigned contract between commercial Parabank and Azerpocht on application of the Western Union system, first transfer on the system was carried out at post-office 1 on 10 October 2005.
Azerpocht and Travelex Group also concluded similar agreement envisaged application of the system first in the capital, then all regions of the country during 2006.
