Microsoft plans to hold official opening of its representative office in Azerbaijan in late February. The preliminary date of the official opening is scheduled for 28 February, AZEL (Azerbaijan Electronics), the corporations official partner told Trend.

The Microsoft office in Azerbaijan is practically set up and its staff of 3 persons is operating.
The issue of the Microsoft office opening has been voiced in June 2005 by the spokesman of the corporations department on business development with the CIS counterparts, Yuri Omelchenko. The company decided to develop business in CIS and especially in Azerbaijan, due to its general economic state which has been studied by specialists and defined as positive for business development.
It will be the Microsoft first office in Trans-Caucasus after the available offices in Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine.
