The launching of the communications satellite in Azerbaijan does not justify itself from the economic point- view, Trend quotes Ali Abbasov, the Azerbaijani Minister for Telecommunications and Information Technologies.
The minister said that at the moment the infrastructure of fiber-optic cable main TAE is enough developed in Azerbaijan.
If we can reach agreement with Kazakhstan on the construction of fiber-optic cable under the Caspian Sea and implement the plans in the nearest perspective, then the launching of communications satellite by Azerbaijan will not justify itself from the economic point- view, the Ministry of Communications said.
