Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are holding talks on installation of offshore section of fiber-optic line Trans-Asia-Europe (РўРђР•) along the seabed of Caspian Sea. Trend reports quoting Jalil Jafarov, director of international relations and IT center, the joint workgroup established to perform all operations under the project.
В"The parties are working on defining conditions of the line installation. Azerbaijan already submitted its proposals to KazakhstanВ", - Jafarov outlined.
According to the project, the line shall be installed in two directions, Batumi-Riza and Siyazan-Aktau. In the event of the project success Azerbaijan becomes the main transit country and ensures high-speed communication with West Europe, Middle Asia and China.
