Alcatel intends to set up in Azerbaijan a new operating company which will play a role of mediator between the company and local IT firms, the Alcatel Vice President for CI countries, Gerhard Richter, told Trend.
According to Richter, the company to be named Alcatel Baku will considerably contribute in the implementation of contacts with the clients.
In a month it is planned to set up work over financial issues. It will be an operating company which will pay taxes in accordance with the Azerbaijani legislation, Richter underlined.
The Vice Present announced that major partners and clients of Alcatel in Azerbaijan are Aztelekom and Baki Telefon Rabitasi production associations.
Till 2008 within the framework of national program we plan to introduce new IT technologies and services. It will promote the development of competitive capacity of IT market in Azerbaijan, Richter underlined.
