Baku Office of Hewlett-Packard (HP) held a workshop Thin Client Technologies in IT-infrastructure enterprises, with the participation representatives of representatives of some public bodies, private organizations and enterprises, the Baku office told Trend.
The workshop was conducted by HP manager on Thin Client technologies and working stations in CIS, Igor Evtchuk. He informed the participants in the event about priorities of Thin Client in the establishment of IРў-infrastructures, oriented at systematic implementation of tasks with big number of operators.
On the base of HP project realized Evtchuk demonstrated high level of profitability and productivity of this technology. The application of these technologies considerably cuts the cost of establishment of IРў-infrastructure and its exploitation, enabling to economy in the budget of enterprises or administrations, assigned for the formation, development and service to information system.
It was underlined that for the time being HP is one of many global deliverers of key technologies, which attaches major attention to the development of designing in the Thin Client segment and has relevant experience in building and service to complex architecture on the base of database.
HPs Thin Client technologies were successfully applied in Azerbaijan while development of some projects, in particular, those linked with equipment of several secondary schools with computers, establishment of unified information network of the State Fund for Security.
The HP manager for development of partnership network in Azerbaijan, Rasim Bakhshi, said that Thin Client is attractive for local consumers because of its capacity to decrease considerably cost of equipment of one seat with computers and increase the productivity of the work at the expense of installation and exploitation of advanced HP servers. Besides, HP consumers who use this technology benefit high-quality guarantee and post-guarantee service by specialists of authorized service centers of Hewlett-Packard.
Thin Client is the advanced computer solution, used jointly with server and allocated for cut in price of information systems and increase of efficiency of business. The technology envisages placement of system PO, all user attachments and data on the terminal server. Work places are equipped with terminals which opens an access to servers resources, while results of work with attachments, implemented in the server are shown on the users monitor. Thanks to centralized management, the attachments and renovations are enough to install only one time on server, which decreases the general cost of the renewal and application of information systems.
