Nokia Corporation will open a regional office in Baku. Such a decision was made during the meeting of the representatives of the company with Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Trend reports quoting the press-service of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies.
Nokia officially presented its products in local market in December 1997. The company collaborates with two mobile operators in Azerbaijan - Azercell and Bakcell.
The company MobiTel has been the official distributor of Nokia in Azerbaijan since 1998. Besides, within 2005 sale conception, the first trade center of Nokia was opened in Azerbaijan in accordance with the standards and requirements of the corporation.
