Korea offers assistance to Azerbaijan in IT technologies

Korea offers assistance to Azerbaijan in the sphere of information and communications technologies, Ali Abbasov, the Azerbaijani Minister for Communications and Information Technologies, told Trend.

In compliance with the contract signed between the Azerbaijan and the Korean Ministry for Information and Communications, Korea intends to assistant Azerbaijan in definite directions.

Korea presented us its proposals on investing in the development of E-government in Azerbaijan. They are ready to allocate long-tern credits in the amount of $30m, the minister underlined.

According to Abbasov, at present the expediency of the use of funds and application of the Korean model of E-government in Azerbaijan is being studied.

According to experts, the key objective of the application of E-government in Azerbaijan is the increase efficiency of activities of state government bodies and authorities on the base of large-scale use of information and communications technologies, as well as improvement of interaction between the sate and society.
