The Ministry of Communication and IT of Azerbaijan has prepared the state program for full transition to digital TV broadcasting, Trend reports quoting Ali Abbasov, Minister of Communication and IT.
Abbasov said Azerbaijan shall fully pass to digital TV broadcasting according to recommendations of International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
В"If this program is implemented, all TV channels will pass to digital broadcasting by 2015 В", minister underlined.
The digital TV system was launched first time as a pilot project October 10, 2004. Transition to this system will allow increase the number of TV channels and quality of image and sound.
