PA Aztelekom is examining the tender bids from 4 companies regarding pilot project E-Shemakha implementation. Aztelekom officials told Trend the tender totals would be disclosed in short.
The project including NGN technology implementation in Shemakha is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2006. Upon its completion, even dwellers of most remote villages of Shemakha area will be able to use NGN communication services.
In the event of success the network will be extended to other regions of Azerbaijan.
NGN (next generation network) is a universal multi-target network purposed for transfer of voice, video and data using packet switching technology.
