Within the first half of 2006, 76 new postal departments were put into exploitation in Azerbaijan. During this period, 664 post boxes were installed, Trend reports quoting the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan. Repair-restoration works were carried out in 38 objects, 35 out of which are postal departments and the remaining 3 house communications.
Within the framework of social-economic development program of Baku districts, the postal departments were put into operation in Goradil, Zabrat and Ramana. The construction of the same objects was started in the districts of Sahil, Bakikhanov, Sabunchu, Ahmadli, Lokbatan, Shuvalan, etc.
