The Azerbaijan Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies has finally concluded work over their new portal. Rufat Gulmammadov, head of the Department for Development of Information Society, told Trend that all versions of the portal which are in three languages, Azerbaijani, English and Russian, have been established.
It will be a portal which contains detailed information on the communications sector of Azerbaijan. The content of each version consists of 3,500 pages he stated.
Technical work on the application of the new portal is currently underway.
The new portal will contain information on the current state of the communication and information technology (IT) in Azerbaijan, services provided, a record of Azerbaijan projects relating to the IT sector, international relationships and co-operation in this field on a legislative basis. Also included will be a special section on user services which will allow subscribers to receive detailed data on issues of interest, internet services, local and long-distance communication as well as mail.
The Portal will also include links by private local companies, joint enterprises, schools and some international organizations who specialise in IT.
So as not to confuse the users, the new portal will be placed at the existing website www.mincom.gov.az.
