Azerpocht Carries Out Postal Money Orders on Western Union in 14 Regions of Azerbaijan

The State Enterprise of Azerpocht carries out postal money orders on the system of Western Union in 14 regions of Azerbaijan. The State Enterprise told Trend that these regions are Shamkir, Tartar, Aghstafa, Goranboy, Naftalan, Gazakh, Barda, Gadabay, Dashkasan, Ganja, Khanlar, Mingachavir, Samukh, and Yevlakh. This service is also available in 36 post-offices of the Capital of Baku.

The agreement between the Commercial Bank of Parabank and the State Enterprise of Azerpoght on introduction of the system of Western Union was signed in May 2005. According to this agreement, the first postal money orders on this system were carried out in postal-offices #1 and #11 of the City of Baku on October 10-11.

Being an enterprise that enters the offices of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan, the activity of Azerpocht have always been delivery of letters and correspondence, rendering of telegraph services, e-mail, Internet, international telephone calls, transit of internal and external postings, sale of national post cards, envelopes, stamps, and badges, as well as rapid postal money ordering, and payment of pensions and cash benefits.
