Tariffs for the registration of domains in Azerbaijan will be cut by 33% from 1 October, Trend reports citing Faik Farmanov, the Head of Intrans company, also Co-chair of the Azerbaijani Internet Registration.
The resolution was taken after a meeting with the specialists of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies. Tariffs for registration and annual expenses for the maintenance of the domain were cut 33%, from the existing 30 AZN to 20 AZN. (+20 AZN for expenses).
Farmanov announced that since 1993 over 3,000 domains AZ' have been registered in Azerbaijan. National domain AZ' was first registered on 25 August 1993.
