Azercell Installs 38 New Stations in September

In September 2006 Azercell JV, a mobile operator, has installed 38 new stations in Baku and regions of Azerbaijan, including 27 in Baku, 2 in Zagatala and the remaining 9 in Ismailly, Tovuz, Terter, Shamkir, Yevlakh, Absheron, Goychay, Gobustan and Sumgait, Trend reports.

From January to September 2006 Azercell has installed a total of 246 new stations throughout the Country. This allows the operator's subscribers living in the regions to establish reliable communication, not only with the Capital but anywhere in the world. Until the end of this year Azercell plans to install 289 stations.

In order to provide communication services, Azercell Telecom has 2 Home Location Registers (HLR), 11 Base Stations Controller Systems (BSCS), 13 Mobile Services Switching Centers (MSSC) and over 853 Radio Base Stations (RBS).
