The process of localizing the operation system of Microsoft Windows XP into the Azeri language is nearing its completion, the Director General of Microsoft Azerbaijan, Vladimir Chaykovski told Trend.

The calculation of the Azerbaijani version of the operation system is carried out on the basis of the confirmed terminological dictionary (Glossary).

I believe that we will present the final version of Azeri-language Window XP to users by the end of the current year, Chaykovski stressed. Similarly, we begin the localization of our new programs, Microsoft Vista and 2007 Microsoft Office. I am confident that the efforts of Microsoft Azerbaijan will ensure that the Microsoft products will be completely accessible to the Azerbaijani users, he added.

The localization project was initiated and sponsored by Microsoft Corporation. The works has been carried out within the contracts between the Corporation and its official partners in Azerbaijan.

At present, the products of Microsoft Corporation have been translated into more than 45 languages.
