Technical Parks Project of Azerbaijan Will be Discussed at IASP Conference

The participation of Azerbaijan in the 24th worldwide conference on the scientific-technological parks of the International Association of Science Parks (IASP) is an ideal opportunity to expand international relations. Such an opinion was voiced by the IASP Director General, Luis Sanz, Trend reports.

According to him, it will serve as an accumulation of experiences in the creation of the technical parks. The conference in Barcelona will be an opportunity to study many things for the creation of the scientific-technical parks in accordance with the conditions in Azerbaijan. During the conference, the world public will be able to become familiarized with measures taken with regards to the communication and information technology in Azerbaijan. It is wonderful opportunity to discuss the projects of Azerbaijan for creating technical parks in the international arena, the Head of the Organization said.

In addition, Sanz considers that at this conference, Azerbaijan may find new partners which will create an effective condition of co-operation. The 24th worldwide conference on the scientific-technological parks of the International Association of Science Parks will take place from 2-4 July 2007 in Barcelona. Azerbaijan is expected to be represented at the event by the Head of the Information Society Development Department of the Communications Ministry, Rufat Gulmammadov. The topic of the conference will be Creative works and creative companies key factors of development and competition. The conference will bring together technical parks experts, entrepreneurs and representatives of several institutes. The conference participants will cover subjects such as innovation, development and role of the employees with advanced knowledge as the key factor of the common development.

Azerbaijan became a member of the IASP in April 2006 due to the project of creating special economical zones for the development of high technology. The International Association of Science Parks was created in 1984 and brings together 66 countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Finland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Luxemburg, Great Britain, Austria, etc.
