January-November 2006 the communications services in Azerbaijan amounted to 489.4mln manats, or 24.6% more compared than 2005, Trend reports.
The State Statistics Committee informed that 73.3% of services fell on private companies with an increase of 25.1%. Some 75.6% of incomes fell on communication services rendered to population. Incomes from mobile communications rose 24.2% as compared to 2005.
Increase in incomes was also observed in the regions of Azerbaijan. The amount of telecommunications services constituted 8.9% in Absheron, 13.7% - in Guba-Khachmaz, 9.6% - in Shirvan, 26.5% - Shaki-Zakatala, 16.1% - Ganja-Gazakh, 13.6% - Nakhchivan, 15% - in Lankaran and 16.9% - in Aran.
