Azerbaijan has signed an agreement on postal money orders with the Postal Service of Romania, a source in the Azerbaijan Telecommunication Ministry informed Trend. Our priorities are, certainly, electronic postal money orders. However, Romania is not a member of MTF/STEFI System, but we consider it impossible, said the source in the Ministry. Azerbaijan has agreements on physical exchange of postal money orders with 22 countries. As to electronic postal money orders within MTF/STEFI System, Azerbaijan has corresponding agreements with Russia, Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, UAE, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The services have been put into use only with Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The Country has intensions in the future to expand cooperation with postal agencies of other countries, particularly with France, Japan, and Estonia.
