A meeting took place at the IT Institute of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences with the Head Consultant of the Consultation Company Booz Allen Hamilton, Inga Gregor.
The meeting was also attended by the consultant of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, Latif Kangarlinski, Trend reports quoting the IT Institute. Recently the Communications Ministry of Azerbaijan announced Booz Allen Hamilton as the consultant of the project on creating regional innovation zone in the country. According to the agreement, the Company should prepare a pack of proposals regarding creating regional innovation zone and present it to the Ministry.
The consultant said that the meeting is aimed at getting familiarized with the achievements and scientific researches in IT sphere. Speaking about the creation of the information society in Azerbaijan, the Director of the IT Institute, Rasim Aliguliyev, said that expanding relations with the USA in IT sphere gives and opportunity to use the experience of USA in this sphere.
In addition, he highlighted the necessity of forming new scientific climate in Azerbaijan and said that work s carried out in this direction. The project of creating regional innovation zone intends to create technical parks for developing small and medium innovation entrepreneurship, creating regional base on producing and exporting electronic equipments and software.
