Ali Abbasov, the Azerbaijani Minister for Communication and Information Technology, stated the security of websites and protection from attacks should be carried out by internet providers. He was commenting on events linked to the hacking of an Azerbaijani web-portal by Armenia, Trend reports.
In accordance with Article 33 of Law on Right for Obtaining Information indicates the nuances on the provision of security of web-portals in the country by the internet provider that operate them.
At the present time Azerbaijan possesses tremendous logistics, rather than Armenia for the organization of security. Electron war is undesirable and Armenia will suffer more than Azerbaijan, the Minister stressed.
Minister Abbasov stressed countries should join the Convention on cyber crimes, offered by the Council of Europe and ensure the implementation of its requirements.
