Azercell Telecom, a leading mobile operator of Azerbaijan, warns subscribers of possible faults in delivery operations of SMS short messages starting from February 13th at 03.00. It is linked to improvement of the network by the operator, Trend reports.
On January 1st 2007 Azercell's subscribers comprised 2.3mln. In 2006 the number of Azercell users rose by 960,000. The company covers 78.4% of Azerbaijani territory, 98.8% of mobile phone users use Azercell and has roaming agreements with over 300 operators from over 130 around the world.
Azercell Telecom was founded on January 19th 1996, between Turkcell ГќletiГѕim Hizmetleri A. S. and the Ministry of Communications of Azerbaijan Republic. Azercell Telecom set up its activities on December 15th 1996 by offering subscribers mobile telecommunication services based on a contract system. In 1998 the company set up it's prepay system вЂ" SimSim.
