Azerbaijan was represented at the meeting by the Chief Consultant of the Ministry's Department for Co-ordination of Activities of State Bodies, Gulam Abdullayev, which took place from 19 February to 2 March in Geneva.
Azerbaijan has prepared and submitted proposals to the ITU within the project to purchase the national satellite at the beginning of the year. The next stage will be distributing the proposals amongst the large satellite organizations of the world.
The meeting brought together more than 1,000 delegates from 98 communications administrations, 16 international and regional organizations and 23 scientific organizations. The key goal of the meeting was to prepare the report on technical and regulator issues of the agenda of the World Radio Communication Conference 2007.
