Babayeva/ The delegation representing the Azerbaijan Telecommunication and IT Ministry is taking part in joint meetings of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Telecommunication, Satellite Telecommunication, TV, and Broadcasting. The Commissions of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Telecommunication on issues with the regulation of using the frequency spectrum and electric magnetic compatibility of radio and electronic means, a source in the Azerbaijan Telecommunication Ministry has said today. The meetings are held in Bishkek from April 3 till April 5.
Azerbaijani specialists have elaborated proposals on the preparation for the World Conference of Telecommunication on presenting frequencies in accordance with 3G technologies and some other technical issues, which are included in the agenda of the existing meetings.
The agenda of the meetings of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Telecommunication includes issues on preparation for the World Telecommunication Conference 2007, and sitting of the working group for preparation for general proposals on items of the agenda of the World Telecommunication Conference 2007, viewing and approval of general proposals on items of the agenda of the World Telecommunication Conference 2007, signing of "General Proposals" by authoritative representatives of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Telecommunication, preparation for the Assembly of Telecommunication to be held in Geneva in October, 2007, elaboration of recommendation on introducing DVB-H systems in the range of 470-862 MHerz, MPEG-4 compression standard, and united standards of the closure, as well as review of the market of the receiving-transmitting apparatus and equipment of digital broadcasting, and other issues.
Notably, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine are the full members of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Telecommunication.
