Azercell Concludes a New Roaming Agreement with Gambia

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Babayeva / Azercell Telecom, a leading mobile operator in Azerbaijan, launched a new roaming service with Poland's P4 (international one-sided, P4 sucsribers in Azercell network) and Gambia's Africell mobile operators. This is the fourth roaming agreement with Polish mobile companies, while the first with Gambian one. Azercell subscribers are able to use services of Polish Polkomtel, Era and Centertel operators.

Azercell has hitherto signed more than 321 roaming agreements with mobile communications operators in 137 countries of the world.

At present Azercell has 2.4 mln customers and the company covers 77% of the country's territory and 99% of its residents. The company covers 77% of the country's territory and 99% of all people. It has roaming agreements with 300 operators from over 130 world countries.

Azercell Telecom, founded on January 19, 1996, is a joint venture between the Azerbaijan Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies (35.7%) and Fintur Holdings BV (64.3%).
