Teclast T39 Media Player with 16GB of Flash Memory

( Mobilemag ) - There are a lot of advantages to having a Flash-based media player rather than one that sports a spinning hard drive. Unfortunately, if you want an insane amount of storage space, you're still largely restricted to HDD-based players. That is, until now. Teclast has just announced that their T39 portable media player will soon be available with a whopping 16GB of built-in Flash memory, providing plenty of space for your music and videos.

The 2.6-inch widescreen display is a touchscreen, automatically bringing about comparisons to the upcoming Apple iPhone. Audio support includes MP3, WMA, WAV, and FLAC files, whereas videos come by way of AVI and WMV at 30fps. It's also got a built-in dictionary, games, FM tuner, recorder, and a claimed battery life of 40 hours!

If you're not quite ready to take the 16GB plunge, Teclast also creates the T39 in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB variants. No pricing info has been released.
