Babayeva / Along with the interests in meeting the demands of the local market, Israeli companies have intentions to enter other regional markets via the project on regional innovation zone in Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani Communications and IT Minister, Ali Abbasov, reported on 26 June within the framework of the Azerbaijani-Israeli IT forum being held in Baku
"The forum will provide for a new stage of cooperation between the counties," the Minister said. According to Abbasov, Israeli companies already have the experience of work in Azerbaijani market. For this reason the decision to hold a forum and to discuss the issues of the current cooperation, as well as the prospects of its extension, was made.
The delegation of Israeli IT companies including the representatives of nine companies and headed by the Business Development Manager of the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute, Corin Rotary, arrived in Baku on 25 June. Some 30 Azerbaijani companies are in attendance of the forum.
