Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Babayeva / Dennis Smith, the Director General of Hifas Hannover Fairs - Interpro Uluslararsi Fuarcilik A.S., stated at a news conference that a delegation of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies can participate in one of the big exhibitions in the sector of information and communications technology - CeBIT Bilishim Eurasia 2007. Hifas Hannover Fairs -Interpro Uluslararsi Fuarcilik A.S. is an organizer of the event.
Smith announced at his meetings with the Azerbaijani Deputy Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Iltimas Mammadov, that the organizer invited the ministry to attend the event.
Meanwhile, Osman Ojan, an adviser in trade at the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan, said that the participation of representatives from the Azerbaijani public sector in the organization can be additional evidence for consolidation of and development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey. Goods turnover between the two countries currently comprises $1bln and in 2007 is expected to reach $2bln.
CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia will be held in Istanbul from 2 - 7 October at Tuyap Exhibition and Congress Center the venue being over 26,000 sq m in area.
