Fees for Access to Internet to Drop in   Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Babayeva / Galib Gurbanov, Direcyor General of the provider company Azerin, anounced on 1 August that soon Internet providers of Azerbaijan will cut service tariffs.

According to Gurbanov, drop in prices will be possible through the expansion of the speed of international Internet-channel provided by Delta Telecom.

"We receive speedier Internet at previous tariffs. As a result it will be possible to cut tariffs offered by Internet providers in Azerbaijan," Gurbanov noted.

Head of the community said that cut in prices will encourage expansion of ADSL services in the country.

Internet community of Azerbaijan is comprised of 46 physical person and individuals.

According to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, currently the number of Internet users in the country is 900,000 people.
