Azerkosmos has announced a request for quotations for the procurement of voluntary insurance services.

Azerkosmos OJSC was established in accordance with the decree of the president of Azerbaijan dated May 3, 2010 in order to launch into orbit a telecommunications satellite, manage it and carry out operational work. The satellite operator of Azerbaijan provides services of digital TV, data transmission, creation of multiservice VSAT networks through the Azerspace-1geostationary satellite. The company also has at its disposal the Azersky low-orbit satellite, through which the Earth remote sensing services are provided. The launch of the second geostationary satellite Azerspace-2 has been scheduled for September 2018.
Some 21 insurance companies are functioning in Azerbaijan.
