Uzbekistan introduces additional direct flights to Russian cities
Baku, Azerbaijan, April 4
By Fikret Dolukhanov – Trend:
“Uzbekistan Airways” introduced additional flights from Samarkand and Fergana to Kazan since April 29, the press office of the national air carrier announced on April 4.
A new direct Samarkand-Kazan flight will be carried out on Sundays. The frequency of the Fergana-Kazan flight is increased to two flights per week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. The flights will be carried out on Airbus A320. “Uzbekistan Airways” currently also carries out the Tashkent-Kazan flight twice a week.
“The increase of number of flights to Kazan is reasoned by intensification of economic and humanitarian contacts on between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan (Russia) and the increased demand for this direction,” the press office said.
The press service of Russian S7 Airlines announced earlier that the air carrier will start direct flights from Moscow to Samarkand, Uzbekistan, from April 30, 2018.
