Baku, Azerbaijan, April 4

By Fikret Dolukhanov – Trend:

Russia and Tajikistan lifted the previously imposed mutual airlines restrictions, the representative of the Russian Transport Ministry told RIA Novosti.

Moscow hosted talks between the Russian and Tajik aviation authorities on April 4.

“The delegations agreed on further joint steps aimed at developing air communication between Russia and Tajikistan, and the parties confirmed flights of designated carriers in line with the 2017-2018 winter schedule,” the ministry said.

According to the Transport Ministry, all previously imposed restrictions are removed, including the announced ones.

In addition to the previously imposed restrictions, the Russian aviation authorities had planned to withdraw permissions for a number of flights to Russian cities for Tajik Air and Somon Air since April 5.

Four new directions will be added to the summer schedule: Perm-Dushanbe, Zhukovsky-Kulyab, Chelyabinsk-Khudzhand and Krasnodar-Khudzhand.

The negotiators also noted a 14-percent increase in the volume of transportation between the countries in 2017.
