Greek aviation company may enter tourism market of Uzbekistan

A delegation of the State Committee for Development of Tourism of Uzbekistan met in Greece with President of the Orange2Fly private airline company Pantelios Sophianos and the executive director Ioannis Papaslanis.

Orange2Fly is a Greek charter airline company offering rental of aircraft with crew. The airline was founded in September 2015 by former employees of now defunct SkyGreece Airlines.

During the meeting, the company’s management was acquainted with development of tourism and hospitality sphere in Uzbekistan and tourism potential of the country. The sides discussed plans for further development of international aviation communications.

The president of the Greek company expressed interest to the tourism potential of Uzbekistan. The company is planning to study tourism environment and then decide on entering the country's market.

The will send a working group to Uzbekistan. Representatives of the Uzbek State Committee expressed readiness to provide all-round support in studying the market and arranging flights from Greece to Uzbekistan.
