Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan to increase mutual tourism traffic

Authorities of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan decided to resume the bus and railway service in a move to boost tourism flow, said Ibragim Junusov, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan, Trend reports via Uzbek media.

He made the remarks within the presentation of Issyk-Kul 2019 and the launch of Tashkent-Tamchy-Tashkent direct charted flight, which was organized by Asialuxe Travel (Uzbekistan) and Inspiro Travel (Kyrgyzstan).

“Starting from June 6 the railway passenger traffic on the Tashkent-Bishkek-Balykchy-Bishkek-Tashkent route is being resumed,” the statement said.

The issues of decreasing the time of the border passing by tourists traveling via this train are also being elaborated at the moment.

Furthermore, the launch of international bus route on the Tashkent-Bishkek-Cholpon Ata (Issyk-Kul) route for the summer season of 2019 is expected. The Osh-Tashkent-Osh route flight is also at the launching phase.

Currently, the issues of resuming the international bus routes on Osh-Andijan and Osh-Fergana routes are also being developed.
