The amount of Uzbekistan citizens' trips abroad for six months of 2019 decreased by 11.3 percent, Trend reports citing the Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee.
According to statistics, the number of foreign citizens visiting Uzbekistan in January-June 2019 amounted to almost 3.7 million people. This indicator increased by 35.7 percent compared to the corresponding period last year.
The total number of Uzbek citizens going abroad in the mentioned period reached 6.2 million.
There were 5.9 million Uzbek citizens who left for the CIS countries, among which 3.3 million went to relatives, 1.9 million went to work, and 60,400 for tourism.
Moreover, 288,900 citizens of Uzbekistan went to foreign countries, of which 178,900 people went for tourism, 41,100 people went for work, etc.
