Georgian-Azerbaijani tours increase awareness of Georgia, Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA) told Trend.

"Azerbaijan remains Georgia's strategic partner. Recently we had a very interesting meeting with our Azerbaijani counterparts, with Fuad Naghiyev, the Chairman of the National Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, We discussed many interesting topics, including the implementation of new projects by joint activities, and shared experience in the tourism sector", said the representatives of GNTA

According to GNTA, the demand for Georgia in the eyes of international travelers is growing. Therefore, it is important to carry out Georgia-Azerbaijan combined tours.

"We think we will increase awareness of the region by also uniting forces in countries such as China, Japan and so on", noted the GNTA.

As the Georgian National Tourism Administration said, at the beginning of this year, GNTA has developed several strategies.

As reported, increasing the number of visitors received from neighboring countries is a significant challenge, however, the main goal is to diversify the market so that Georgia’s tourism development is not only dependent on one region or country.

"We already began working with airlines in numerous EU countries to negotiate adding direct flights. We started a large scale promotion campaign of our country," said the representative of GNTA.
