Kazakhstan’s airline companies will be permitted to rent aircrafts in the registry of civil aircraft of Aruba and Bermuda, a representative of Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan told Trend.
On November 27, 2019 the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK) has signed the Agreement with the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and the Primary Sector of Aruba on cooperation in the regulatory oversight of flight safety.
Furthermore, a similar mutual agreement was signed on November 26, 2019, between the Civil Aviation Agency of Bermuda and the AAK.
“Planes registered in state registries of these countries generally are in excellent technical condition,” the representative said.
Thus, within the framework of the agreement, cooperation of parties in issues of supervision and management of flights safety via the planes registered in civil aircraft of Aruba and Bermuda and used by Kazakh companies is planned.
“Parties plan to hold joint meetings during which issues of flights safety will be discussed: flight operations, maintaining airworthiness and issuing aviation personnel certificates,” the official said.
Within the framework of the cooperation, Kazakhstan is mostly interested in increasing flights safety and borrowing expertise of civil aircraft authorities of Aruba and Bermuda on issues of supervision and flights safety management.
Previously this year, President of Kazakhstan Kassym Jomart Tokayev has ordered to increase a number of international flights implemented from Nur-Sultan.
According to Tokayev, currently the number of direct international flights operated from country’s capital Nur-Sultan does not exceed 30 routes, which is not enough.
Furthermore, Kazakhstan's Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov said that Qatar Airways (Doha city, 2020), Emirates (Dubai, 2021), China Eastern (Shanghai, 2021), Ural Airlines, Pobeda and other air companies are to start operating in Kazakhstan.
