The TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) is preparing a series of events for agreement with its Member Countries in order to further implement new projects to develop cooperation, Akif Mustafayev, TRACECA Permanent Representative in Azerbaijan, told Trend.
The main priorities of the events will be:
Identification and establishment of the scope of the electronic data exchange mechanism;
Transfer of the TRACECA Permit System into electronic format with the development of a mobile application for drivers of TIR truck;
Implementation of a cargo tracking system and delays of vehicles in real time;
The procedure for cooperation between the competent authorities of countries and participants in the transportation process along the corridor;
Electronic processing of data on the loading and passage of vehicles along the corridor;
Certification of routes as part of TRACECA;
Development of an agreement on transit traffic;
Introduction of electronic pre-information and a number of other important issues;
All these issues were discussed at meetings with the Minister of Economy and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan, the permanent representative of TRACECA added.
