Malaysian company ready to make investments into joint project with Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov held a videoconference with the management of Phills Asia Pacific to discuss the establishment of a pilot training center for Aviation Academy pilots in Bukhara Oblast and a logistics hub for cargo transportation, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

The Malaysian side expressed readiness to make direct investments in the amount of $110 million within the framework of this project.

Foreign investors received detailed information on consistent measures taken by the leadership of Uzbekistan to combat coronavirus and ensure uninterrupted implementation of joint projects.

The sides discussed issues related to the preparatory work on establishing a training center and logistics hub.

Executive director of Phills Asia Pacific Rajeswaran Durairaju informed about readiness to start implementation of this project despite coronavirus. He also noted that the Malaysian side is continuing work on the development of 3D design of buildings of future facilities.

As a result of the videoconference, the parties agreed to organize a visit of Phills Asia Pacific management to Uzbekistan after resumption of international air service.
