Inflation rate in Kazakhstan amounted to 0.9 percent in March 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Growth of consumer prices in Kazakhstan amounted to 0.9 percent during the reporting month, compared to Feb. 2020 and by 6.4 percent compared to Mar. 2019.
Prices of industrial manufacturers increased by 1.7 percent in Mar. 2020 compared to both Feb. 2020 and Mar. 2019. Goods of industrial purpose increased in price by 1 percent in a month and by 7.3 percent in a year.
Prices in construction increased insignificantly, i.e by 0.1 percent in Mar. compared to Feb. 2020 (by 2 percent compared to Mar.2019), whereas agricultural goods prices increased by 0.7 percent compared to Feb. 2020 (by 12.7 percent compared to Mar. 2019).
At the same time, tariffs for cargo transport via all types of vehicles increased by 1.8 percent month-on-month and y 2.5 percent year-on-year. Tariffs for postal and courier services for legal entities and tariffs for communication services for March remained on the February level, however they went up by 1.9 percent and 1.2 percent respectively compared to March 2019.
In turn, wholesale prices decreased by 0.1 percent during a reporting month compared to Feb. 2020, but increased by 3 percent compared to Mar. 2019.
