Intercity transportation resumes in Georgia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 8

Starting June 8, intercity transport (buses, minibuses) in Georgia is resuming its services, Trend reports citing Georgian media.

The transport passengers must wear medical masks during transportation. As for trains operation, it will be resumed starting from June 15.

The traffic on all types of intercity transport was restricted from March 24.

Starting June 8, currency exchange offices throughout Georgia also have resumed work, while the National Bank of Georgia calls on currency exchange offices to strictly follow the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.

One new case of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) was recorded in Georgia, bringing the total number of those infected to 810. The total number of patients recovered from COVID-19 has reached 683 people.

Currently, 2,915 people remain under quarantine, and 237 persons are in the inpatient care.
