Kazakhstan's passenger cars export to Russia up year-on-year

Kazakhstan has exported a total of 174 passenger cars worth $3.2 million during first five months of 2020 to both Russia and Kyrgyzstan, which is 38.5 percent more than during the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the Eurasian Economic Commission.

Thus, 118 cars worth $2.7 million were exported to Kyrgyzstan, whereas 56 cars worth $439,676 were exported to Russia.

Furthermore, Kazakhstan has also exported 163 cargo vehicles worth $5.5 million during the reporting period, which is 4.1 times more in value compared to the same period of last year.

The report said that eight cars accounted for export to Kyrgyzstan ($3.2 million), whereas 155 vehicles worth $2.2 million accounted for Russia.

Two special-purpose vehicles of Kazakh manufacturing were also exported to Russia during the reporting export. The cost of the exported vehicles was $13,405.

Kazakhstan has exported 34 bicycles worth $2,454 during the reporting period, which is 1.4 percent more in value compared to the same period of last year. The entirety of the exported bicycles accounted for Kyrgyzstan.

Total volume of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover made up $28.1 million over the period from Jan. through Apr. 2020 which indicates a decrease from $28.8 million during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export amounted to $18.3 million during the reporting period of 2020 ($18.5 million in the same period of 2019), whereas import amounted to $9.8 million ($10.3 million in the same period of 2019).
