Construction of Yutong passenger buses producing venture underway in Kazakhstan’s Karaganda

Construction of a Yutong passenger buses producing venture is underway in Kazakhstan’s Karaganda region, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan.

The plant which will operate in the region's Saran city is to be commissioned in Dec. 2020. Together with the launch of the plant, an entire special economic zone will be established.

The joint venture of Kazakhstan’s QazTehna and Saryarka Socio-Entrepreneurship Corporation with China’s Yutong was established for this investment project’s implementation. The investments' volume amounted to $37.7 million.

The plant is to produce 1,200 buses a year. This will allow replacing old public transport vehicles and improve public transportation services in Kazakhstan.

The future plant will be selling goods both in Kazakhstan, as well as abroad to Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Pakistan and other countries.

The plant will also be manufacturing road construction and cargo equipment. The annual capacity of the plant is expected to be 400 units of special equipment a year.

As of December 2019, Yutong's total sales in Kazakhstan exceeded 2,000 units, accounting for more than 40 percent of China's large and medium-sized buses exported to Kazakhstan during the period.

Nowadays, Yutong has become the bus brand with the largest quantity of the large and medium-sized buses in the Kazakhstan market.

So far, Yutong totally has eight service stations and one spare part warehouse in Kazakhstan. In order to ensure the smooth operation of the gas-run buses, Yutong has worked out a special service plan, including vehicle maintenance, training on driving habits etc.
