BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 17

By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

Kazakhstan is considering introduction of an international model of complete automation of procedures for measuring the weight and dimensions of cargo vehicles, Trend reports with reference to the Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.

The introduction of this method will require amendments to the country’s legislation.

This system helps to eliminate the human factor, corruption risks and minimize administrative barriers in the transport control system and will ensure the safety of roads.

The introduction of technology of automated measuring on certain sections of the roads using stationary scales with a minimum error, will ensure safety of roads and reduce the cost of repairing them, and will also allow to cover entire freight vehicles route by weight and dimension control.

The process of measuring the weight and dimensions of transport will be carried out automatically without the participation of inspectors of transport control authorities. At the same time, for the revealed violations, administrative practice will be carried out according to the principle of the country’s Sergek system, i.e. without human participation.
