Turkmen Demiryollary (Railways) Open Joint-Stock Company will purchase 2 units of freight and passenger locomotives produced by Russia’s Transmashholding company, Trend reports with reference to Demiryollary.
A corresponding contract was signed between Demiryollary and the Russian locomotive manufacturers that are part of the Transmashholding holding - the Kolomna Locomotive Works and Bryansk Machine-Building Plant.
The contract was signed with Kolomna Locomotive Works for the supply of one unit of the TEP70BS diesel locomotive and with Bryansk Machine-Building Plant for the supply of one unit of the 2TE25K mainline diesel locomotive.
As was reported earlier, the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Russia increased by 2.7 times during 1H2020, compared to the same period of 2019.
The trade turnover between countries amounted to $1 billion million in 2019.
