TEHRAN, Iran, Oct. 20

Trend:

Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mehdi Sadeghi Niaraki has announced that some 153,000 new cars will be available at the market by the end of the current Iranian year (end on March 21, 2021) via extraordinary sale plans, Trend reports via IRNA.

"The first task of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade in the auto sector is to address the current situation with production," he said.

He went on to say that the production needs foreign currency to import spare parts.

"After pursuing the continuation of production in car factories, the ministry will follow the supply of cars to the market,” he said.

Referring to the high cost of cars in the market he says that it is due to excess liquidity and organized brokerage.

"We are trying to develop a formula for organizing the car market in cooperation with the Parliamentary Committee on Industries and Mines so that car manufacturers do not suffer losses and gain reasonable profits.
