The volume of market services provided in the transport sector of Uzbekistan remains predominant despite a significant reduction, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
The share of road transport amounts to 54.6 percent, while the volume of transportation through pipelines in transport services accounts for 18.5 percent.
In turn, the services rendered by railway transport in the total volume of transport services reached 15.2 percent.
The share of services for the carriage of goods and passengers by air was recorded within 4.7 percent, and auxiliary transport activity was registered at the level of 7 percent.
Passenger transportation takes a significant share in the volume of market services provided by road transport in Uzbekistan.
The share of passenger road transport services reached 67 percent for 9M2020. The share of services for the carriage of goods in the total volume of rendered market services of motor transport amounted to 33 percent.
The volume of market services provided in Uzbekistan from January through September 2020 reached 157.08 trillion soums ($15.1 billion), and the nominal volume increased by 16.12 trillion soums ($1.55 billion).
