A total of 42,498 passenger cars were manufactured in Kazakhstan over the first nine months of 2020, which is 42.4 percent more than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
In turn, passenger car production in Sept. alone amounted to 5,062 cars, which also is 18.8 percent more than in Sept. 2019.
The number of cargo vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan during the reporting period stood at 5,273 vehicles (1,025 in Sept.), of specialized vehicles at 212 vehicles (30 in Sept.).
Furthermore, the number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured in Sept. 2020 amounted to 429, which is 5.1 times more than during Sept. 2019. The number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured over the reporting period stood at 1,272 vehicles, which is 97.5 percent more than during the same period of last year.
In turn, spare parts for vehicle output amounted to 55,949 during nine months of 2020 and 2,500 in Sept. 2020, which is 5.8 percent and 88.6 percent less respectively than during the same period of 2019.
Some 19 diesel locomotives were also manufactured in Kazakhstan over nine months of 2020 (5 in Sept.), and 466 cargo wagons (15 in Sept.).
